The Colnago C60 takes the incredible C59 and improves upon it in every way – smoother, stiffer, stronger, and lighter. Still entirely handmade in Italy, still hand-painted in Tuscany, still looking and performing unlike anything on the road, the C60 is a proper evolution of a bike that is already a masterpiece. At R&A, we stock dozens of different colors and sizes of the C60, and we offer countless custom build options as well as several meticulously curated complete bikes.
The downtube is the “frame” of a frame, and the C60's is now notably larger in diameter, solidifying the entire bike. The seattube, as well, has been reshaped and now showcases a more stout asymmetrical design that improves overall stiffness and pedaling responsiveness.
The bottom bracket – the “anchor” of the bike from which the performance starts – received significant attention in the C60's development. The wider piece now houses a pressfit-style bottom bracket for even greater solidity when climbing or accelerating.
The C60's headtube has also been revised from top to bottom. Like the bottom bracket, the tube shapes and lug shapes at this intersection are no longer round. Colnago's tell-tale “clover” tube shapes now extend to these lugs, creating a torsionally stiff and strong intersection even before adhesives are applied.
Because no detail is too small, the C60 now boasts one-piece machined aluminum dropouts, saving weight, improving axle rigidity, and guaranteeing excellent durability and longevity.
Ernesto Colnago's C-series of carbon fiber road bikes is legendary both in performance and in story. Like all that came before, the C60 is entirely hand-created and finished in Italy, with each step of the process cataloged by hand, and is subject to the industry's most stringent quality controls.
